I never thought of blogging until that movie “Julie & Julia.” 

It was a good movie, with blogging and food, with the woman (“Julie”) obsessively cooking and driving her husband crazy.

But she diligently updated her blog about cooking everything Julia Child ever made. I became hungry and desired to cook French food.

Growing up I watched my mother bitch and moan about how my father never helped out, and how Sri Lankan food took a year and a day  to prepare.

How does food that takes so long to prepare became a staple in Tamil culture? Who’s awake to eat it? Maybe the American fast-food culture makes sense!
